A friend and I got to talking about our characters stories... which lead to... This thread, on my guild's forums. None of us are roleplaying our characters, but over time... They just develop their own stories and personalities!

More people than we initially thought joined in, and more are planning to add stories when they have the time.

So ladies, what are your non-RP toons back stories?

I am hearing and seeing a lot of people getting their accounts hacked lately and thought I'd share this "program" that was shown to me by a programmer friend of mine about a year ago after I thought I had gotten a keylogger on my computer.

It's called KL Detector and it is very very simple to use.
I'm not sure if anyone on here has used it before or has any feedback on it (positive or negative). It's just another option to keep your computers clean.

I play horde on Dawnbringer, a troll hunter by the name of Juzelle. For some reason lately horde has been demolishing the alliance in wintergrasp. and by demolishing I mean playing keep-away 5 times in a row. We coordinate on vent and work together in teams, and have a group of dedicated defenders while a crack team takes out their towers. like clockwork every time.

A couple guildies, my friend gretchen & her boyfriend(resto shaman & DK), have taken to a habit of flying around searching for stragglers after wintergrasp is over. It's especially fun whenever there's a fishing daily in wintergrasp. We're the ones who have zero fear about chasing people into their base, the ones who come out of the lake with army of the dead, the hunter that drops from the sky and lays all her traps on top of you at once. Yes, we are THOSE jerks. Hello :3

Every-post wintergrasp is hilarious. deathgripping people in midair, harassing people while they fish. chains of icing flight form druids to lava-burst them out of the sky. I haven't had this much fun in pvp since arathi basin was first released. I wouldn't call it griefing, as there's often 5 on 3, 10 on 3. we die alot. we kill alot of people. It's wintergrasp, if you don't want to risk pvp, there are safer places to mine and fish (hence why i never mine or fish there, lol!).

Recently we've had a number of alliance players making horde level 1's to come yell at us, but the majority of them come over not to yell, butto tell us how entertaining we are. We recently had an alliance druid, Cuddlybear from the raid guild 'Azeroth Sentinels', come onto our vent to chat with us. She said "these are the most exciting fishing dailies I've ever done! I kept trying to come /hug you guys but that damn shaman kept killing me". We chatted about alliance and horde, people, and raiding, the server.

Score! we made a friend! Last night we were at it again with this nasty mage, lock, boomkin & double rogue combo. I think we fought them on and off for almost an hour and a half post wintergrasp. somewhere in there we ended up running into a hunter. he and I went toe to toe a number of times, and I barely scraped by by the skin of my teeth. He logged over all irrate to challenge me to a duel, but what he found, much to his surprise, was some comraderie & positive communication. I think i talked to him for maybe 2 & 1/2 hours. Score! another friend! I honestly wish I knew more alliance players on our server :D

So, if you ever run into a little 3 man pvp group in WG on dawnbringer, a group full of cutthroats that chase you all the way to the graveyard, or yank your out of the air, bear this in mind: We're not there because we hate you.

We're there because we love you. We love you TO DEATH. Come say hi! <3

Hello lovely ladies and lurking gets,

I come to you to ask for help with my long neglected druid. When I first starting playing a year ago, I initially rolled a druid. I got her to 35 and fell in to the grasp of the dreaded "alta-holism"!! Now, three 80's and 6 "20-something" toons later, I have decided to make nice with my druid and level her. After a discouraging couple of level's trying feral (don't know why, but it bored me out of my mind at this level) I almost gave up on her again. At a friend's suggestion (she is now 80 and dual-specced feral/resto) I am trying balance to help me level.

What I need is a link to a good leveling balance talent tree. I did go back through the older druid posts, but kept seeing feral feral feral resto feral resto resto feral. Can someone please link their talent tree? I'm currently level 37 and want to move on up fairly quickly, but am not sure how to go down the balance road. In addition to talent designations, any other suggestions would be most welcom!. My current 80's are a huntard (bless her even though she is "challenged" - I love her and kitty so), a DK and an arcane mage (thx to your suggestions, she has become my fav and a true force to be reckoned with!). I know my druid will be a whole different "ball of wax", so I want to do right by her.

Much thanks in advance for your help!

But this happened a year ago and I just had to take a picture, since we were on the subject of hax. Read the text. Also, as a side note, this guild no longer exists, and neither does this character.

Apparently our guild tank's ex-wife was pissed off, so she messed with his toons. I contacted a GM but since I'm not him they couldn't really do anything.

When he signed on he was laughing about it, though, being the good sport he is - she was no good at the hax and ended up getting her own account perma-banned.

But it goes to show hell hath no fury...o.O

Quick question ladies - I'm an officer in my guild and have been semi-in charge of scheduling retro raids. I've got an AQ20 raid scheduled for Thursday night this week. I didn't think there was an attunement for this one but someone mentioned there is a quest to open the gates? I thought this was a server-first sort of thing and that that quest was no longer needed. Is that correct or had I better get my butt in gear before Thursday so we can actually open the gates?

I've looked everywhere online but no site has been able to tell me definitively that the quest is no longer needed to get in. Thanks in advance for all your help, ladies! ♥

A while back I posted a thread that I hoped would generate some tips and tricks on RP... recently on my server there's a project to find and investigate how the RP is on the server. I thought others might like to have a look-see at the project too and hopefully contribute their own experiences in trying to drum up random RP.

Did you find you got ignored on a certain race or class? did your level seem to make a difference? What was the server type?

Here's the the Leeto Project

Hokay so. My name is Cate and I'm an altaholic. -.-

After running around last night on my human roque smashing things and then eventually running out of quests (because I'm an uber noob) - My boyfriend decides to be the sweetheart know-it-all WoW player that he is and let me make a death knight on his account (he has 2 80's and the rest are all 50+) -

So he deletes his 56 "Bigmeany" and I go to town setting everything up for my new pretty undead Death Knight *squee*

OMG I have never had so much fun on WoW in my whole life - This is going to make me strive with my main and get her to 56 so I can make one on my account - The way the quests are set up for DK's are so straightforward and easy to interpret and holy crap are the sayings hilarious - I was laughing the whole time I played ("I..I.. I think I pooped!" hahahahha)

So.. this is my little rant on how much I <3 the WoW makers for creating the DK :D

The Plaguechill guild got a server-first on Khadgar this weekend. But since I'm not in Plaguechill, this post is about my personal Kel-firsts that happened. ;)

I decided late last week that I wanted to raid, so I started joining pugs with a vengeance this weekend. Background: Keleili is my disc priest main.

3 days. 5 raids. 1 successful clear. )

TL;DR - I healed a lot of failed pug raids this weekend, including a 10-ToC, which turned out to be ToGC, and they asked me to dps, but I didn't have the gear, so I failed, and they replaced me, which was depressing. Then some guildies ran HHoS with me and made me feel good about my healing abilities again. I <3 my guild.

... is OK when you can finally have the mount you've wanted for over a year, right? :D

Screenies +2 )

Wow_ladies, I seek guidance. But then again, when don't I?

My boyfriend and I don't get to spend much time playing together (especially now, when my game card has run out and I am moving in a week, but back when I was online...), mainly because I work two jobs and we both enjoy raiding together...but raiding together does REALLY equate playing together, if my rambling makes sense anywhere outside my head.

To that effect, we have decided (for the lolz) to start 2v2ing when I get back in game. I play a Disc Priest, he plays a Prot warrior.

Except I don't really know what I am doing. So...Um. Help?

http://tinyurl.com/qxnkzp
That right thar is my current Disc spec. Are there changes that I need to make to it that will prepare me better for arenas and without gimping me in PVE?

Additionally, do you ladies have any tips, pointers, or blogs that you can give me that will help me not to be a complete failure in the arenas? The internet is a scary place, and I don't want to be caught alone in a dark cyber alley with some shady blog.

Oh...and..I haven't really PvPed since my priest was 29, so I don't know what I need to do re: gear. Is my PvE gear acceptable, or should I start saving tokens to buy stuff in Dalaran?

I am trying to read the Disc guide poosted here, but I can't stay in front of the computer long, and it keeps crashing when I try to print. -.- . I'll try to get it to work, but any additional info......

I like bug hunting, and no, I don't mean silithus :3

wall-walking, geometry climbing, lost grounds, call it whatever you will. I love discovering little cracks in blizzard's finely wrought world, and seeing sights that few rarely are even aware of. There's a thrill to exploring all the places you're not supposed to go. Shatterspear Village, the Elwynn waterfall camp, Old Silithus, the Stormwind wall, Old Ironforge, Hyjal, Gilneas, good times :3.

So it was with great surprise that a friend of mine and I were out pvping when we ran into the most surreal glitch I've seen in 5 years of playing this game. This is legitimately the strangest thing I've ever seen in any MMO. It was completely on accident, and the both of us were equally surprised when it happened.

The short version:
My buddy's DK & I were driving off a pesky rogue in the crossroads who had been griefing our level 20 something alts. Someone was attacking Sen'jin Village, so my buddy breaks out his chopper, I hop in his sidecar, and we hauled ass over to senjin, cutting across the ratchet bay toward durotar. As we were path-of-frosting our way across the water, the ratchet/booty bay boat pathed through us. Instead of phasing through us, we became entangled in it's polygons, and were dragged to the other side of the world.

We both laughed hysterically & thought "hmm that was weird". So we tried it again on the boat departing to see if it would happen again.

Upon zoning back to kalimdor, we immediately fell to our deaths through the world, and landed.... in Hammerfell? What?? Our map apparently though that it was still in the barrens, yet the both of us appeared in a completely NPC-less Arathi highlands. we started driving around, and that's when all hell broke lose. That's when it started RAINING MOBS FROM THE SKY.

this is what happens when you discover a world breaking glitch in WoW )

An alternate title for this entry: "this is what a 200g repair bill looks like".

Trying to get that Alliance moonkin put together, still can't decide which purple to use. It doesn't help that every time I look up screenshots of you guys they're always taken in places with tinted lighting.

Okay, so I found those other purple furs I had )
